Michelle
Major: Communication Studies BA '06

"It's hard not to be involved while you're a student at Concordia."

Michelle There is so much going on at Concordia that it can be hard to shrink back into the crowd and not be an active participant.

Michelle is practically a poster child for student involvement at Concordia University. She has worked with the campus cable channel, written for the university newspaper, been a member of the dance team, the multi-cultural choir, and participated in numerous Concordia theater productions. In addition to that, she served as a volunteer at the 2004 National Youth Gathering.

Her experiences at the Gathering renewed and strengthened her faith. She enjoys studying at Concordia because it is a Christian institution.

"Being a college student with so many things going on, it can sometimes be difficult to keep up with an active spiritual life. Being a part of a Christian community helps me grow in my faith as I begin to develop my future."

Finding time for learning about Christ is just one component of Michelle's busy life. Between her tasks of producing for the cable station, and acting and writing for other campus activities, she is still able to remain focused on the larger goal of preparing herself for life beyond Concordia as a dedicated member of the world community.
