President Robert Holst
BA '56

Welcome to Concordia University St. Paul! "God is helping us with our great commission in education."

President Robert Holst has a long-term connection to Concordia.

"As a Concordia alumnus myself (class of '56), I know first-hand the value of those close ties to faculty, staff and students. We focus on making real connections with students because we are committed to helping every student succeed in school and in their life after graduation."

Concordia's roots in the Lutheran church are a key part of a Concordia education.

"We offer an outstanding, student-centered learning environment where the Christian faith provides the context for intellectual inquiry."

All Concordia students are educated with an eye on making a difference in society, and President Holst was no exception. After his education at Concordia and his ordination he served as a missionary in Papua New Guinea.

There is little doubt for President Holst that Concordia played an important role in his personal and professional development.

"Concordia University is a comprehensive liberal arts university with a talented faculty and staff dedicated to understanding our students' goals and aspirations. I value them as much today as I did when I was a student."
