Feb. 24– The Concordia men's track and field team finished in third at the NSIC Indoor Championships in Bemidji with 106 points, while the women finished sixth with 28 points. The Bears set five school or NSIC indoor championship records at the two-day meet.
Adrian Perryman won the 55 dash in a new school and NSIC indoor meet record time of 6.38, which also is an NCAA provisional qualifying time. Kyle Warren also set a new NSIC indoor championship record in the 600 meter run, finishing in 1:21.86. The 4 X 400 relay team of Kawaskii Bacon, Adrian Perryman, Matt Eicheldinger and Kyle Warren set a new NSIC record with a time of 3:22.11. Tre Sayles set a new school mark in the triple jump (45-9) and Katie Johnson set a school-record in the 200m dash, crossing the line in 26.11.
Kawaskii Bacon was also named the NSIC Newcomer of the Year.
