Golden Bears and Bulldogs to Play on Tuesday in St. Paul; Parent's Day and Pancake Breakfast Info Announced

Apr. 20– Concordia University head baseball coach Mark "Lunch" McKenzie announced this afternoon that the Golden Bears will host the University of Minnesota Duluth for a Tuesday afternoon doubleheader at 2 p.m. at Bob Barnes Field. Parent's Day is also scheduled for Wednesday when Concordia hosts Minnesota, Crookston at 2 p.m.

The two teams were scheduled to play home/away doublheaders this season, however there were three postponements to the two series. The Golden Bears face a full slate of home games this week, with two on Tuesday, two on Wednesday and a four game weekend series.

Parent's Day Information
Everyone is invited!  If you can't attend the games, please come to the after the game celebration (Roughly 5:30-6:00 pm) down the left field line.  We are asking everyone to contribute something.  We will supply the hamburgers and hot dogs.  Please contact Steve Waldman at 952-920-4022 (w) or advisors@advisorsmarketingmn.com with what you will be able to bring.  Whatever doesn't get eaten will surely be taken home by the players and coaches.

Baseball Team Pancake Breakfast May 3
The Baseball Booster's second annual Pancake Breakfast will be Saturday morning, May 3 at 9:30 a.m. in the Student Dining Hall.  This is a fundraiser and everyone is invited!  This is not an event where you can come in anytime.  This is a set program that will start promptly at 9:30.

Former CU All-NSIC pitcher Geoff Bray will be our guest speaker.  If you are interested in being a Table Captain, please contact Captain David Utoft at david.utoft@pearson.com.  If you want to volunteer at the breakfast, contact Karen Bryce at akbryce@comcast.net.

When the breakfast is over around 11:00 am, walk over to Barnes Field to watch the Golden Bears play their final home regular season games against Northern State University at 12:00 p.m.  Last year's breakfast was very successful and we are hoping that this year will be even better! Go Golden Bears!
