Apr. 24– Concordia women's basketball coach Paul Fessler has announced the signing of LaToya Williams to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Bears during the 2007-08 season.

Williams, a 5-10 forward from Benilde-St. Margaret's Academy is a four-year all-conference selection and four-year letterwinner for the Red Knights.  She helped the team to a state title in 2006 and a third-place finish in 2007.  Williams was named to the all-tournament team in 2007.

She was also a KARE 11 Athlete of the Week honoree, as well as Star Tribune Athlete of the Week during the 2007 season.

Williams will help the Golden Bears defend their NSIC Regular Season and Tournament Championship next season. The 2006-07 Bears went 22-10 overall and 15-3 in the NSIC. They reached their fifth straight NCAA North Central Regional Tournament and hit the 20-win milestone for the sixth consecutive year.
