Apr. 27– Members of the Concordia men's track team traveled to Des Moines, Iowa to compete in the prestigious Drake Relays on Friday.  The 4 X 200 team of Kawaskii Bacon, Adrian Perryman, Matt Eicheldinger and Chris Kennedy finished sixth of twelve teams in the finals of the race in a school-record time of 1:27.73.  Perryman was a member of the 2004 team that held the previous mark of 1:28.06.

The 4 X 400 team of Perryman, Eicheldinger, Alan Stage and Kyle Warren ran 3:21.50 to finish 30th of 39 teams.

The Golden Bears also finished 18th of 30 teams in the 4 X 100 (Cecil Elekwachi, Bacon, John Pimental, Perryman).  They ran a time of 42.69 and failed to qualify for the finals.

The Bears will compete in the 1600m sprint medley relay on Saturday morning at 9:44 a.m.
