Apr. 29– The 2007-08 NSIC women’s golf all-conference team has been announced as voted on by the league coaches and includes three Concordia athletes. Jacquelyn Hauser earned first team honors, while Carley Paulseth and Molly Noser made the second team. Noser was also named the NSIC Newcomer of the Year.
Hauser, a junior from Caledonia, MN, was a first team NSIC all-tournament honoree already this season finishing in a tie for third. She will compete in the NCAA North Central Regional on May 5-7 in Grand Forks, ND. She has played 22 rounds of golf and has a 81.8 shots per round average, cutting three strokes per round off her average (84.8 in 2007) with a low of 75.
Noser, from Roschester, MN, finished eighth at the NSIC tournament. She averaged 84.6 strokes per round in 22 rounds of competitive golf as a freshman and had a low round of 77 on the year.
Paulseth, a sophomore from Moose Lake, MN, finished seventh at the NSIC tournament. She shot a low round of 78 this season and averaged 86.2 strokes per round thru 22 rounds of competitve golf in 2007-08. She improved her average by two strokes per round (88.2 in 2007).
Upper Iowa’s Rachael Schmit was named NSIC Golfer of the Year after winning the NSIC individual title earlier this spring. Chad Markuson was voted on by his peers as NSIC Women’s Golf Coach of the Year after leading the Peacocks to a second straight NSIC Championship.
