Apr. 30– Make it two in a row for Matt Borman, last week's NSIC Pitcher of the Week was tabbed the NSIC Player of the Week this afternoon by the Northern Sun as he led Concordia University to a 6-0 week with his bat as well as his arm.

In his 21 at bats over six games, Borman torched opposing pitchers with a .571 avg. with seven of his 12 hits going for extra bases as he amassed a 1.190 slugging pct. The Bears leadoff hitter also drew four walks and was hit by a pitch for a .654 on base pct. and was 2-2 on the base paths. Borman scored 10 runs, had four doubles, three home runs and drove in 11 RBI for the week. His highlight was a second inning performance at NSU when he drilled two three run homers in the same inning to lead Concordia to a 10 run inning en route to a 14-1 victory over the Wolves. Borman also defeated Winona State on the mound, throwing a complete game allowing just two hits, a walk and a run with three strikeouts.
