May. 04– Amanda Yurek, Mallory Olson and Abby Brundidge were named first team all-NSIC, while Anna Bjorlin was named honorable mention all-NSIC at the 2007 NSIC Tournament Banquet Awards Dinner on Friday evening in Marshall, Minn.

Yurek, a senior from St. Paul, was an all-NSIC selection in 2006.  She leads the team with a .335 batting average and has 55 hits, with 12 doubles, two home runs, 36 runs scored and 25 RBI.  She has hits in 36 of 55 games this year and leads the NSIC in sacrifice flies with four and is second in walks with 26.

Olson, a junior from Stillwater, leads the team with 34 RBI and is batting .291 with 48 hits, including ten doubles, and a team-high four home runs.  She has started 55 games at first base and has hits in 33 of 55 games, with 13 multi-hit games.  Olson has been walked 13 times and has scored 25 runs. 

Freshman Abby Brundidge, comes from Nekoosa, Wisconsin.  She has started in 54 of 55 games and has 54 hits, with 13 doubles, 2 triples, and two homeruns.  She has a .320 batting average with a .456 slugging percentage.  Brundidge has hits in 33 games with 17 multi-hit games.  She has scored 26 runs and has 13 walks.

Freshman Anna Bjorlin, from Hermantown, Minn., has played all 56 games this year at second base for the Bears.  She leads the team with 62 hits, 41 runs scored, 14 doubles and four triples. Bjorlin is batting .323 and has struck out only ten times in 192 at bats.  She has been part of 19 of the Bears 32 double plays on the year.  She has hits in 38 games with 19 multi-hit games and had a team-high nine game hitting streak during the season.
