May. 10– Junior Kawaskii Bacon (Minneapolis, MN) defended his NSIC titles in the 100m (10.85) and 200m (21.85) dashes Saturday afternoon in Wayne, Neb., as the Golden Bears finished their 2008 outdoor season. As a team the men finished fifth of six with 61.50 points, while the women finished seventh of seven with 28 points.

Bacon won both events last season in Moorhead as as he qualified for the NCAA championships a year ago. 

Junior Matt Eicheldinger also earned honorable mention all-NSIC with a third place finish in the 800m run, crossing the line in 1:55.51.
