May. 24– Concordia sophomore Kawaskii Bacon ran 10.71 in th 100m dash at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at the Irwin Belk Track Complex on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC, to finish 6th in his heat and failed to qualify for the finals. Kendall Stevens of St. Augustine's had the fastest time of the three heats at 10.37.
Bacon's time was the 16th fastest of the 21 competitors in the three heats.
Bacon will participate in the 200m dash tomorrow, May 25, at 5:45 EST, should be make the finals in the 200, he will run at 7:35 EST on Saturday, May 26.
