Megan Myhre Inks with Concordia

Nov. 26– Concordia University head women's basketball coach Paul Fessler has announced that Megan Myhre from Barnum High School has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Bears in 2008-09.

The 6-1 post is a two-time all-conference selection for the Bombers in the Polar League. She was an all-state MGBC selection in 2007 and a team captain. She holds the No. 1 rank in her class as well.

"Megan is a versatile post player that is just learning the position. She is an excellent three-point shooter that fits our style of play," said Fessler of his second signing for next season. He continued, "We are impressed with her work ethic in the classroom and on the court."

Myhre joins Michelle Hugelen of Rosemount High School and joins a women's basketball program at Concordia that has reached the NCAA Tournament five straight years, the regional semifinals four straight years while achieving six straight 20-plus win seasons. They are the defending NSIC Regular Season and Tournament champions, currently 4-0 in 2007-08.
