Oct. 05– After the second day of action was cancelled in Mankato due to rain, the firs day results became the final results.  Freshman Kevin Strandberg was the Bears leading golfer, firing back-to-back rounds of 78 to finish in 26th of 63 golfers with a 156.  Jason Pendleton of MSU Mankato earned medalist honors with a 139.  As a team, the Bears ammassed a team total of 674 (341-333), while Manitoba won the team title with a 575.

Nick Gallaway shot 88-83=171 to finish 55th and Dave Rugg fired a 87-85=172 (57th), Matt Alford recorded a 88-87=175 to finish 58th and Lance Meyer had a 91-96=187 (63rd).

The Bears will finish the fall season at the NSIC Championships at Pebble Creek GC, Becker Creek, MN on Oct. 7-8.
