May. 16– Concordia junior Kyle Warren received an invitation to compete at the 2006 NCAA outdoor championships in Emporia, Kansas. Warren will run the 800m race where he has the 13th fastest time of the 18 runners invited with a school-record 1:51.51.
The 2006 NCAA outdoor championships will take place May 25-27 at Francis G. Welch Stadium-Zola Witten Track. The 800m prelim will take place on Friday, May 26 at 6:15 p.m. and the finals at 6:59 on Saturday, May 27 if he should advance.
Warren is the third Concordia athlete to qualify for the outdoor championships since the Bears went Division II joining Janet Brownawell and Emily Shoop.
