Sep. 11– The Concordia men's golf team opened their 2006-07 season at the Bemidji State Invitational and finished 17th of 17 teams participating. The Bears shot a 653 as a team in the two rounds just eight strokes back of Upper Iowa. Steven Atwood shot a 80+79=159 to lead the Golden Bears to tie for 26th of 40th golfers.

Danny Johnson shot a 83+79=162 while Lance Meyer shot a 82+83=165 to take second and third on the team, respectively. Nick Gallaway shot a 83+84=167 while Matt Alford finished with a 81+87=168 to round out Concordia's scoring.

The Golden Bears return to action Sept. 15-17 at the NDSU Invite.
