March Food Shelf Campaign
The annual Minnesota FoodShare March 2007 Campaign is complete. During the March 2007 campaign, CSP faculty/staff, congregations and Lutheran schools donated a total of $900 and contributed 2,001 pounds of non-perishable food and household items to the Concordia University Food Shelf! The Office for Congregational and Community Relations extends special thanks to all those who supported this annual campaign.
Ablaze! in the City - 2007 Mission Summit
Concordia University, St. Paul will host the 2007 MN South District Mission Summitt June 9, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.. Celebrate God's mission in the City together with Minnesota South District missionaries and urban congregations! See how you might become involved in Urban Mission work in the Twin Cities! Rev. Dr. John A. Nunes, pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church, Chicago, and assistant professor at Concordia University Chicago will be the featured speaker. For more information, click here
Concordia Explores India Through Photograhy Exhibit
The richness and diversity of India; the challenge of the Gospel in that country; and the challenge of that country to traditional understandings of the Gospel: these are themes in the photography exhibit in the Concordia University, St. Paul Buetow Gallery from March 26 - April 13. Professor of Religion, Dr. Rich Carter, selected the images from his year-long sabbatical as an invitation and challenge to viewers for this exhibit entitled, "Disturbing India!" Concordia Sundays
The Concordia Sunday program is designed to provide congregations with a Sunday morning experience that communicates the Gospel-centered mission and vision of Concordia University, St. Paul. National Concordia Sunday - April 29, 2007
Every year during the month of April the Synod celebrates Concordia Sunday. In 2007, Concordia Sunday will be April 29. This is an opportunity to share the ministries of our colleges, universities and seminaries with the members of all LCMS congregations. For materials and information, click here. Stohlmann CD-ROM for Layity
Rev. Dr. Stephen C. Stohlmann, professor of Hebrew, Old Testament and Doctrine, has developed a CD-ROM consisting of a two-part study of Law and Gospel for laity. The first part, "Having Ears that Hear," is a seven lesson Bible study on the nature and functions of the Word of God. The second is an eight chapter study titled "Accusation: Demonic or Divine," which is designed to explore the paradox of how both God and Satan are at work in the Law of God. All proceeds go towards church work scholarships at Concordia. To order the CD-ROM, click here.
Food Shelf
The Concordia University Food Shelf serves income-eligible students and community members by allowing individuals to select a bag or two of non-perishable food and household supplies on the first and third Friday of each month.
