Exploring Careers Event - November 13-14
Do you know high school students interested in attending Concordia University, St. Paul?  Encourage them to attend Exploring Careers!  This overnight retreat gives high school students the opportunity to explore their vocational calling, while experiencing all that Concordia University has to offer.  Exploring Careers will be held November 13th & 14th at Concordia University, St. Paul and the event is FREE!  Contact the office of admission at 651-641-8230 or check out www.csp.edu/exploringcareers for more information. 

MN South Transforming Volunteer Teachers' Workshop - November 14
This workshop is for all who serve in the capacity of teaching the saving faith. This event is designed for the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Teacher, the Youth and Adult Bible Class Leader. The workshop will offer encouragement in teaching the truths of God?s Holy Word, equip participants with skills necessary to identify the saving Gospel message in a variety of Biblical narratives, and provide creative methods for both teaching and learning.

CSP Advancement Offers Charitable Giving Seminars
The Office of Advancement for Concordia is offering the services of their two Planned Giving Officers, Nathan Laible and Glenn Thiel, to do charitable giving seminars for churches and organizations.  Their presentation will cover the Christian perspective of wills, estates and charitable gift planning.  They are also available to meet individually with congregation members in their personal planning and their desire to include their church, Concordia and/or other ministries.  To schedule a presentation, contact Nathan Laible at 651-641-8256 or email laible@csp.edu and Glenn Thiel at 651-641-8758 or email thiel@csp.edu.

Stohlmann CD-ROM for Laity
Rev. Dr. Stephen C. Stohlmann, professor of Hebrew, Old Testament and Doctrine, has developed a CD-ROM consisting of a two-part study of Law and Gospel for laity. The first part, "Having Ears that Hear," is a seven lesson Bible study on the nature and functions of the Word of God. The second is an eight chapter study titled "Accusation: Demonic or Divine," which is designed to explore the paradox of how both God and Satan are at work in the Law of God. All proceeds go towards church work scholarships at Concordia. To order the CD-ROM, click here.
