One-Stop Grad-Shop Event

You have a lot on your mind as you prepare for graduation. In an effort to help you manage the graduation day details, Concordia University hosts the One-Stop Grad-Shop event. You will:

  • Pick-up your keepsake cap & gown and honors medallion or pin (if qualified) or degree medallion (Graduate students only)
  • Order announcements, class rings and diploma frames if desired

Representatives from the BEAR Center will also be on hand to answer commencement-related questions.

Attending this event is REQUIRED for all graduates participating in commencement. This is a great opportunity to ensure your gown fits, get all commencement related items and be eligible for great prizes. We require all graduates to attend this event unless great distance prohibits your attendance. If this situation pertains to you, please submit an on-line cap & gown order form by April 6, 2008. If your form is received after this date, you will incur a processing fee.

All students in traditional and cohort delivered programs are encouraged to come during any of the times and dates listed below. No appointment or sign-up is necessary and the process should take 15-20 minutes. Please join us for fun, food and prize drawings!

Place: Buenger Education Center. Located off the 2nd floor in Meyer Hall
Dates and Times: Tuesday April 1, 3-6 pm; Wednesday April 2, 3-6 pm; Saturday April 5, 9 am-12 pm.
As you leave this event, we will confirm with you how your name will be announced as you cross the stage, you will provide a phonetic spelling of your name if it's difficult to pronounce and you will receive a handout containing important information about the assembly area, line-up, seating and receiving your diploma.

Resume Editing
A career counselor from Career Services will be available during the One-Stop Grad-Shop event to help edit your resume. Please bring your resume at this time or if you would like to schedule a private appointment for a later date, you may do so as well.

Cohort Celebration Station

Buenger Education Center
While you are on campus for this event, stop by the Cohort Celebration Station, exclusively for students in cohort-delivered programs. It's a great way to make your graduation arrangements while you visit with friends and faculty in your cohort, celebrate your achievements and network with students in other cohorts. We will have information about the benefit of being a member of the Concordia Alumni Association and the opportunities and services we offer to you after graduation. Enjoy fabulous food, beverages and fun freebies! The Cohort Celebration Station will be available in a reserved area at the One-Stop Grad-Shop event.
