2008 Fine and Performing Arts Concert

ROAD CONSTRUCTION TO AFFECT WEEKEND CAMPUS ACCESS

Both direction of Interstate 94 will be closed this weekend, Dec. 5-6, for removal of the Griggs Street pedestrian/bicycle bridge that crosses I-94 between Lexington and Hamline Avenues.  This project will affect traffic access to the Concordia University campus.  Guests coming to the Concordia campus for the NCAA DII volleyball tournament, the Christmas concert or other events should note this traffic disruption.

The westbound lanes of I-94 will be closed from midnight Friday, Dec. 5, through noon on Saturday, Dec. 6, between Lexington Avenue and Snelling Avenue.  All entrance ramps to westbound I-94 between Lexington and Snelling Avenues will also be closed. Traffic will follow a signed detour on westbound Highway 36.

The eastbound lanes of I-94 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, through noon on Saturday, Dec. 6, between Snelling Avenue and Lexington Avenue and all entrance ramps to eastbound I-94 will be closed. Traffic will detour on a signed detour using Highway 280.

Getting to Campus During Weekend Construction

From the West: 
From I-94, take the Cretin-Vandalia exit.  Turn right, heading south on Cretin.  Turn left on Marshall and follow to Gangelhoff Arena on the southwest corner of Marshall and Hamline Avenues. 

From the East: 
From I-94, take the Dale Street exit.  Turn left, heading south on Dale.  Turn right on Marshall Avenue and follow to Gangelhoff Arena on the southwest corner of Marshall and Hamline Avenues. 

From the South: 
From south of the River, take I-35E north to the Ayd Mill Road exit (before the downtown St. Paul exits).  Follow Ayd Mill Road north to the Hamline Avenue exit.  Turn left onto the Hamline exit ramp.  At the top of the exit, turn right onto Hamline Avenue and proceed to Gangelhoff Arena on the southwest corner of Hamline and Marshall Avenues. 

From the North: 
Follow preferred routes on I-35W, I-35E or Hwy. 280 to reach I-94 and follow instructions above for accessing campus on I-94.
