Spring 08 Student Census Hits a High Mark

Total university spring 2008 enrollment hit a high mark at 2,236, higher than in any previous spring term.  One of the primary reasons for the increase over past year is the large increase in graduate students.  The majority of current graduate students are in the M.A. in Education programs initiated in May 2007 and offered in the face-to-face cohort format at various Minnesota school district sites and on-campus.  Traditional spring enrollment is the highest it has been in many years.  A decline in B.A. degree-completion totals is partially due to the end of January timing of the census count.  Coursework ended for a number of cohorts during January; several cohort starts are planned for February.  Summary census information is provided below.
