Organizational Management and Leadership
The Organizational Management and Leadership major brings together key ideas and skills useful in working with people. Students achieve an understanding of group behavior and its relation to organizational effectiveness by translating theoretical learning into practical, hands-on experience.
By learning to implement ideas in practice, students apply concepts and themes from a variety of disciplines to effective organizational approaches. Reading, writing, discussions, case studies, and analytical reflection processes are core components of this major. Students develop a variety of skills: leadership, interpersonal communications, management, problem solving, decision making, written and oral communication, critical thinking, and research methods and applications. Students become proficient in understanding change, directing change, and making decisions about the behavior of people within groups.
Students complete the Organizational Management and Leadership major as a cohort of students who stay together course after course throughout the program. The cohort model allows students to grow together as a positive learning team. Our full-time and adjunct faculty are important members of the learning team and are committed to helping each student gain new skills and professional expertise in an exemplary educational experience.
We are delighted to welcome you to the Organizational Management and Leadership learning team!
