Licensure in Minnesota
Required Fall 2010 Licensure Changes:
The Department of Teacher Education offers liberal arts-based Bachelor's degree programs and other programs that lead to recommendation for teaching licensure in Minnesota. All licensure programs listed below may also be completed by those who already have a degree.
Child Development Major (non-licensure, On-line Degree Program)
Early Childhood Education (Birth - Grade 3)
Elementary Education with Early Childhood Specialty
(K-6)
Chemistry Teaching Major, Grades 9-12, with optional Grades 5-8 General Science add-on
Communication Arts/Literature Teaching Major, Grades 5-12
Health Teaching Major, Grades 5-12
Life Science Teaching Major, Grades 9-12, with opt. Grades 5-8 General Science add-on
Mathematics Teaching Major, Grades 5-12
Social Studies Teaching Major, Grades 5-12
Visual Arts Teaching Major, Grades K-12
