Prepare to Succeed - Welcome MN Head Start Staff!

Minnesota Head Start Logo

Dear Head Start Professional,

The 2013 deadline for Head Start teachers to meet federally mandated credential requirements is rapidly approaching. Here in Minnesota, hundreds of Head Start teachers have earned their bachelor's degree but have not yet met Early Childhood coursework requirement outlined in the statue.

In an effort to provide teachers with a timely and manageable means of fulfilling the credential requirement, the Minnesota Head Start Association has partnered with Concordia University, St. Paul to develop a 30-credit Head Start Certificate offered entirely online. You'll be glad to know that MHSA's partner status entitles you to a $2,000 Concordia Partnership Advantage scholarship. Additionally, up to 12 undergraduate credits may be eligible for transfer to fulfill requirements of the certificate program.

$2,000 Concordia Partnership Advantage Scholarship

Concordia University, St. Paul is offering MN Head Start employees a $2000 scholarship over the duration of their adult undergraduate or graduate program, along with waiving the application fee and granting priority admission status. Please contact Louise Ehrhart at ehrhart@csp.edu or via phone at (651) 603-6190 for specific information on admission process.
