Head Start MN

Prepare to Succeed - Welcome MN Head Start Staff!

The 2013 deadline for Head Start teachers to meet federally mandated credential requirements is rapidly approaching. Here in Minnesota, hundreds of Head Start teachers have earned their bachelor's degree but have not yet met Early Childhood coursework requirement outlined in the statue.

Concordia University believes that the work of Head Start professionals is incredibly important to children and families throughout our country. We are committed to providing Early Childhood programming that is current and research-based and promotes lifelong learning in the lives of education professionals.

Historically, at least 20 percent of the students enrolled in our online programs are Head Start professionals from around the country. They overwhelmingly agree that their coursework at Concordia has helped them become better educators and has made a significant impact in their work with children and families.
