Poehler Lecture Series
The Poehler Lecture Series is an annual event designed to explore how students and faculty in the College of Arts and Letters, College of Education and Science, and College of Business and Organizational Leadership have connected their Christian faith with their academic discipline. Speakers are selected based on excellence in their academic discipline and the maturity of their Christian faith.

Hoffmann Institute
The Hoffmann Institute is the center for Evangelism and Mission studies, creating mission vision and equipping outreach leaders centered at Concordia University. The purpose of the Hoffmann Institute is to:
- prepare students for professional outreach ministries,
- encourage and develop an active outreach consciousness within the campus community, and
- raise outreach vision, commitment, involvement and leadership throughout the church.
In partnership with Concordia University, the Hoffmann Institute faculty serve as professors in the classroom and teach courses offered in the undergraduate outreach major and minor which lead toward certification as a Director of Christian Outreach (DCO). In addition, the Hoffmann Institute develops and manages the Master of Arts in Christian Outreach which also offers DCO certification for satisfactory completion of all requirements.
