Concordia students have interned in counseling settings, youth residential treatment programs, adoption placement agencies and businesses. Graduates frequently gain full-time employment with their internship institution.
Students can join the active Psychology Club which attends conferences, listens to speakers, sponsors psychological awareness events and enjoys social functions. They can also engage in research and present at the Minnesota Undergraduate Psychology Conference.
Students who typically find fulfillment in Psychology are social and investigative. They find human behavior intriguing and would like to further investigate it through interviews, testing, observation or scientific data collection and interpretation. They may also enjoy listening to and helping people through problems. Graduates routinely are accepted into competitive graduate programs in counseling psychology, school psychology, social work, and marriage and family therapy.
