Is Online Right For You?

Are You Ready for Online Learning?

Students who are interested in taking courses online must have a specific set of skills to make their experience a positive and successful one.

Critical Reading Skills

Online students must have strong critical reading skills. Students with strong critical reading skills can learn well on their own and perform at their optimum level in an online course.

Writing Skills

Online education also requires writing skills. Online courses use writing assignments in place of class discussion to ensure that students correctly understand what they have studied.

Organization, Self-motivation and Self-discipline

Organized, self-motivated, disciplined students who are serious about accomplishing their goals learn a great deal from their online classes.

Technical Skills

Online students must have a basic understanding of computers and technology to complete online courses with ease and success. Some of these abilities include: knowing how to save files, having consistent access to the Internet, knowing how to send an e-mail and being able to copy and paste text.
Students enrolling in a program must have access to a computer that meets Concordia University's technology requirements. Contact Concordia's Help Desk at helpdesk@csp.edu or 651-641-8866 with any questions regarding these requirements.
