Transfer Admissions for College of Visual Arts (CVA) Students

The Concordia St. Paul community is sad to see the closing of our College District neighbor, College of Visual Arts (CVA). In light of the news that CVA will be closing this June, Concordia St. Paul is offering a streamlined transfer option for current CVA students as well as an application fee waiver so that the application and credit evaluation process will be free of charge.

Transfer Application Process

The deadline to be considered for fall 2013 admission is May 1, 2013. The following application materials must be submitted:

  • Transfer Application
  • Official Transcripts from all colleges attended
  • A high school transcript and ACT or SAT Test Scores will be requested for students who have completed less than 20 college-level semester credits after high school at the time of application

Transferring Credits

Once accepted to Concordia St. Paul, students will receive a transfer credit evaluation for both major program requirements and general education requirements.

The Value of a Concordia St. Paul Degree

The published tuition price for our traditional undergraduate program will drop by $10,000 beginning in fall 2013 for all new (freshmen and transfers) and returning students. This decrease will reset Concordia's tuition to what it was a decade ago and reduce it 33 percent from this year's $29,700 to $19,700. In addition, we are freezing next year's room and board at this year's price of $7,750.You can learn more about this groundbreaking move at
Merit scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 are offered to transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and above.
