Concordia Connections - Orientation

Spring Semester Orientation:
Friday, January 5, 2018 | 8:30 – 11:30am

Learn what it means to be a Concordia student and officially launch your Golden Bear career!

We are excited you are joining the Concordia community! To help make this important transition in your life a success, we invite you to campus for Orientation.

Orientation is designed to finalize your class registration, complete your financial aid process, and learn important details about campus life. Your family is welcome and encouraged to join you as our guests*.
*Due to space, we request no more than 2 guests per student.

Shortly after you RSVP and submit your tuition deposit you will be invited to start the class registration process. Your academic advisor will be in touch via email with next steps. Class registration is finalized at Orientation.

Complete These Items Before Orientation:

1. Submit Your Tuition Deposit

Admitted students are required to make a $100 tuition deposit to reserve their place in the entering class and register for classes. The deposit is applied to your first semester tuition at Concordia and is not a separate fee.

The deposit is non-refundable after December 1, 2017.

*Detailed online payment instructions can be found under the Orientation Toolkit below

2. Start the Class Registration Process

Shortly after your RSVP and tuition deposit are received, you will be contacted via email by your academic advisor to begin the registration process for your spring semester classes.

Please reply to their email in a timely manner and work with your advisor to address any questions you may have. Your class schedule will be finalized with an advisor at Orientation.

3. Send Your Housing Application and Payment

In order to request housing, return the completed housing application with a down payment of $125 (non-refundable after December 1, 2017) to Admissions. The housing application will not be processed without payment.

First-year students are required to live on campus unless living at home with a parent or guardian. If you meet this criteria and do not plan to live on campus, you must complete and submit the Petition to Live Off Campus.

Students requiring any accommodations should complete this form and contact Student Accessibility Services at as soon as possible when applying for housing.

4. Submit the Immunization Form

Minnesota state law requires proof of immunization. You will not be allowed to enroll until the required documentation has been submitted.

5. Login to CSPConnect

CSPConnect is Concordia University’s student portal and is where you can register for classes, view your grades, manage your finances, and view outstanding items.

You will be using CSPConnect at Orientation, so you’ll need to setup your account by creating a password prior to this event.  To do so:

  • Visit and enter your username and PIN (in the password field)
    • Your username is the first part of your CSP email address (ex., username is student)
    • Your PIN is a combination of the last four digits of your Concordia ID number (provided in your acceptance letter) and your full birth year. (ex. If your Concordia ID is L00002222 and you were born 2/5/1994, your PIN would be 22221994)
  • Once you enter this information, you will be prompted to create a new password of your choosing.

This new password will allow you access to CSPConnect and is what you will need to remember and have with you at Orientation.

Attending Orientation is mandatory for enrollment.

The $100 tuition deposit is required to register for classes.
