Golden Bears Ascend to Third in the Nation

Jan. 08

Concordia University, fresh off of road wins at Northern State and U-Mary, has jumped two spots to #3 in the USA Today/ESPN Division II Top 25 poll. Their 14-0 start has them ranked only behind 15-0 North Dakota, with 23 of 25 first place votes, and 11-0 Delta State (Miss.), with the other two first place votes. The number three ranking is the highest in school history. For a complete breakdown of Concordia's history in the WBCA Top 25, view page 8 of the latest Game Notes.

The Golden Bears are off to their best start in school history, and sit alone on top of the NSIC Standings at 5-0, just a half game ahead of Wayne State (5-1). This weekend, Concordia returns home after a seven game road stand, and will host Upper Iowa and Winona State on Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Gangelhoff Center.
