Feb. 28– The Concordia softball team (9-3) earned a pair of wins Thursday at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers.  The Golden Bears got a 6-5 win over Mercyhurst in the first game of the day and a 13-0 win over Johnson & Wales in five innings in game two.

Game 1 - CU 6, Mercyhust 5
Against Mercyhurst, junior Jenny Kaminski (Columbia Heights, MN) earned her sixth win (6-0), while Stephanie Schmikla (Fr., Madison, WI) got the save.  Sophomore Abby Brundidge (Nekoosa, WI) went 2-4 with a double in the game.

Game 2 - CU 13, Johnson & Wales 0 (5 innings)
Against Johnson & Wales, senior Mallory Olson (Stillwater, MN) was impressive at the plate, going 4-4 with 4 doubles.  Freshman Cassye McMahon earned her first win of her career striking out eight.
