Bears Crack Top 25; Hold Third Spot in Region Poll

Apr. 03– The Golden Bears, ranked thrid in the NCBWA Central Region Poll for the second straight week, have moved into the NCBWA Top 25, receiving the #22 ranking in the nation. Last week, Concordia was the top receiving vote getter in the poll, just missing the top 25 by one vote.
In the region poll, the first two spots have been virtually unchanged the entire season with Central Missouri registering all seven first place votes with Minnesota State Mankato in second. Central Missouri is ranked fourth in the nation while Minnesota State is 15th. Fort Hays State, ranked fourth in the region, is the second highest vote-getter in the poll outside of the top 25.
The Bears received the highest ranking of the five teams from the Northern Sun in the top ten. Wayne State is fifth, SW Minnesota State is sixth, NSIC leader Winona State is ninth and Upper Iowa is tied for tenth.
