Hauser and Lewis Finish Day Two of Competition at NCAA Regionals

May. 06– Junior Jacquelyn Hauser and freshman Kyle Lewis both shot a 78 on day two of their NCAA Regionals.  Hauser dropped from 7th to 11th at the North Central Regional in Grand Forks, while Lewis moved from a 21st to 25th.  Complete results can be found at www.golfstat.com

has a two day score of 77-78=155 for a final +11 on the 5,867 yard, par 72 King's Walk Golf Course in Grand Forks.  Nebraska-Omaha senior Sara Wolfe maintains the lead with a 71-75=146 and has the Mavericks in first place after the opening round.

Wolfe holds a three shot lead over Augustana's Courtney Belanger (76-73=149) and North Dakota's Kelli Dahle (76-73=149).

Omaha leads the team event with a 303-303=606, with Minnesota State ten strokes back at 310-306=616. NSIC champion Upper Iowa remains in third at 316-310=626.

The top two teams and the top two individuals not with those teams advance to the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championship May 13-16 in Houston, Texas.

Friday’s third and final round begins at 8 a.m. at King’s Walk. Tee times will be set for individuals based on finishes from today's action.

Men's NCAA Central Regional - Findlay, OH
Kyle LewisKyle Lewis fired a second straight 78 for a two-day score of 156 (78-78) to move from a tie for 21st to a tie for 25th.

Missouri Western's Aaron Lisenbee shot a career-low 65 (-7) on day two to take a three stroke lead over Central Missouri's Justin Yoder (76-68=144).  Lisenbee is -3 after two rounds (76-65=141).

Day one leader Jamie Voegeli of Missouri Southern did not finish day two.  

Washburn holds a commanding lead with a 298-287=587.  Their is a tight race for second with just 11 strokes seperating 2-6.  Missouri Western leads at 306-300=606, Central Missouri at 316-291=607, Missouri Southern at 308-304=612, Southwest Baptist at 309-304=613 and NSIC's Upper Iowa at 310-305=615 and Winona State at 320-297=617.

The top team from each region within the super regional and the top individual not with a team from each super regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 14-17 at the Division II Spring National Championships Festival in Houston, Texas. 

Friday’s third and final round begins at 8 a.m.  Teams and individuals will be paired according to scores from today.
