Aug. 07– The Concordia volleyball team will open the 2007 season in the friendly confines of the Gangelhoff Center for the first time under head coach Brady Starkey and the first time since 2000 when they host the Ramada Downtown Minneapolis/CSP Tournament.
The tournament will include three teams that finished in the top six in the final AVCA Coaches Poll. Minnesota Duluth ended the season ranked #2 with a 31-4 record, while Concordia finished 36-3 and ranked fourth and Truman State was 36-2 in the #6 spot.
Barry University (FL), Millersville University (PA) and Northern Michigan round out the tournament field. Barry University was 16-14 last season, while Northern Michigan was 16-11 and Millersville ended with a 18-21 mark.
