Aug. 14– The Concordia University volleyball team was picked sixth in the 2007 CSTV/AVCA Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll as announced by the AVCA. The Bears have also been picked first in the NSIC Coaches Poll.
Last season the Bears finished ranked fourth in the nation with a 36-3 overall record and played host to their fourth consecutive NCAA North Central Regional Tournament where they reached the regional championship match for the fourth straight year as well. They have captured four straight NSIC regular season titles and have won all three NSIC Tournament championships.
Wayne State was picked 21st in the poll while SW Minnesota State was ranked 25th, giving the NSIC three teams in the preseason poll.
