Schumacher was a nightmare for the Augustana offensive line as he terrorized the Vikings for 3.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss for a total of -30 yards. Schumacher also recorded six tackles (5 solo) in leading the Golden Bear defense to sack the Augie quarterbacks 7.0 times for a loss of 59 yards. The defensive unit also posted 15.0 tackles for loss for a total of 79 yards and held the Vikings to -12 rushing yards on 37 rushing attempts. His 3.5 sacks already eclipse his 2006 season total of 2.5 in a season in which he earned all-NSIC honorable mention honors. Schumacher also set new career-highs in tackles and tackles for loss in the 20-19 road win in Concordia’s season opener.
