Sep. 09– Concordia-St. Paul (1-4-1) went to double overtime for the second consecutive game on Sunday afternoon, this time drawing a scoreless tie against St. Cloud State (2-2-1) at Concordia Field.
The Golden Bears had their chances once again, hitting the crossbar twice for the second straight game. Senior Hillary Johnson drew the crossbar both times for Concordia on Sunday, once in each half.
Concordia had multiple scoring chances that were shut down by SCSU goalkeeper Elizabeth Kelly. Kelly made six saves in 110 minutes in the net for the Huskies.
In the net for the Golden Bears was Keyton Wheelock, who had four saves while facing 13 shots by St. Cloud State.
Concordia fired 15 total shots with six coming on goal and two more off the crossbar.
The Bears closed out their four game homestand this afternoon and will hit the road to take on Wayne State on Tuesday, September 11 at 4:00 in Wayne, Neb.
