Simon had a breakout performance, hauling in five receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns. His first touchdown in the contest was a 66 yard strike from Kole Goodchild in the first quarter to give Concordia an early 7-3 lead at Central Missouri. It was his first career touchdown. His second touchdown reception was from 15 yards out from wide receiver Antwon Williams in the second half. Prior to the game, Simon had one career catch for zero yards in one collegiate game.
