Oct. 06– Bemidji State (6-5-2, 2-0-1 NSIC) downed the Concordia soccer team (2-9-2, 0-2 NSIC) on Saturday 3-1 in NSIC action.  Senior Hillary Johnson scored her fourth goal of the season in the 19th minute of the game to give CSP a 1-0 lead.  Kendra Benson got her second assist on the year on the goal.

The Beavers countered with a shot of a Concordia defender in the 26th minute to tie the game and send it to 1-1 tie at the intermission.  They added two security goals in the 50th and 64th minute.

Keyton Wheelock allowed one goal and had two saves in 42:29 minutes, while Hannah Turgerson stopped two shots and allowed two goals in 47:31 minutes in the net.

For the game, the Bears were limited to five shots, three on goal, while Bemidji State had 16 shot, eight on goal.

Concordia will travel to Minnesota Crookston Sunday for a 1:00 start.
