Oct. 07– The Concordia women's golf team is in second place of eight teams after the first 36 holes of the NSIC Championships played Saturday and Sunday at the par-72 Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker.  The final 36 holes of the NSIC Championships will be played on April 12th and 13th.

The Bears have two golfers in the top ten with Carley Paulseth currently positioned in third witha 78-80=158.  Jacquelyn Hauser had the low round on Saturday with a 75, but shot a 85 on Sunday and will continue in sixth place when play resumes in the spring. 

Upper Iowa leads the team standings with a 322-303=625, while the Bears had a 322-339=661.  Rachel Schmidt of Upper Iowa is leading the field with a 77-71=148.
