Oct. 15– Concordia freshman Emily Palkert was named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week and sophomore Maggie McNamara was tabbed the NSIC Setter of the Week for the third time as the fourth-ranked Bears improved to 22-2 (11-1 NSIC) on the year with three wins on the week.
NSIC Offensive Player of the Week

Emily Palkert tied her career-high with 25 kills against #13 Minnesota State to go with three block assists. She had ten kills, and three blocks against Winona State and 14 kills, with only one error (.722) hitting against Upper Iowa. On the week, she averaged 4.45 kills per game, while hitting .324 with .78 blocks per game.
NSIC Setter of the Week
 #4 Maggie McNamara S, 5-9, So., Zumbrota, Minn. Zumbrota-Mazeppa HS Concordia-St. Paul
Maggie McNamara averaged 13.45 kill assists per game as the #4 Golden Bears went 3-0 on the week, including a five game win over #13 Minnesota State. McNamara had 59 assists in the non-conference win. For the week the Golden Bears hit .250 as a team. This marks the third time McNamara has been named NSIC Setter of the Week this season.
