Oct. 29– For the second time in three weeks, freshman Emily Palkert and sophomore Maggie McNamara have been honored by the Northern Sun league office on the same week as the Offensive Player of the Week and Setter of the Week.  The two helped the Bears to a share of Concordia's fifth NSIC regular-season title with a pair of wins on the week.

Emily Palkert hit .429 on the week with 29 kills and only five errors on 56 attempts as the Golden Bears went 2-0. She had 14 kills, 0 errors in 19 attempts (.737) against North Dakota as she hit over .700 for the second time this season. She added 15 kills in a 3-0 win against MSU Moorhead and totaled seven blocks on the week. This marks the second time this season Palkert has been named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week.

Maggie McNamara averaged 15.18 assists per game in two matches as the Golden Bears hit .321 as a team on the week. She had 44 assists, five digs and a block against North Dakota and 47 assists, five digs and two blocks against MSU Moorhead. This marks the fifth time this season McNamara has been named NSIC Setter of the Week.
