Nov. 08–  Concordia sophomore setter Maggie McNamara been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District third team. The district, which consists of NCAA II, NCAA III, and NAIA school from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana, was voted on by sports information directors from schools within the district.
McNamara carries a 3.74 grade point average at Concordia, where she is still undecided in a major. She leads the NCAA and the NSIC in assists per game for the second straight season with 14.29 assists per game. She was named first-team all-NSIC earlier this week.
The Bears, currently 30-3 and ranked third in the AVCA, will host MSU Moorhead in NSIC semifinal action tomorrow (Nov. 9) at 7:30 in the Gangelhoff Center. SW Minnesota State will face Wayne State at 5:00 in the other semifinal matchup.
