Golden Bears Jump Eight Spots in Top 25

Dec. 04– The Concordia University women's basketball team moved up eight spots to No. 15 in the second week of the USA Today ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll released by the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA).

Concordia, who began the season unranked in the preseason poll but were the second team receiving votes, moved into the poll last week at No. 23 to receive their first National ranking since the close of the 2004-05 season.

The Golden Bears are off to a perfect 5-0 start with an average margin of victory of 28.0 (91.4 to 63.4). They started NSIC play on Saturday with an 89-65 win over MSU Moorhead at the Gangelhoff Center.

Concordia returns to the floor this weekend when they host Minnesota, Crookston and Bemidji State on Friday and Saturday, respectively, at 6 p.m.
