Dec. 17– Senior point guard Katie LaViolette earned her first NSIC Player of the Week honors of the season, as she recorded a double-double to lead #9 Concordia University to their eighth consecutive win to start the season.

Katie LaViolette posted her 12th career double-double, but had her first career points-rebounds double-double with a season-high 18 points and a career-high 11 rebounds to help the ninth-ranked Golden Bears remain undefeated (8-0) with a 77-62 win at Minnesota Duluth. LaViolette also dished out six assists and had a pair of steals. She was 8-14 from the floor and connected on her only attempts from three-point range and free throw line while playing in 39 of 40 minutes for the Golden Bears.
LaViolette is the second Golden Bear to receive the award this season as senior center Amanda Behnke (Eagan, Minn.) earned the honors last week.
