Sep. 04– The Concordia Cross Country team opened with a stong performance at the St. John's Invite Saturday. The men finished 4th as a team of nine teams, while freshman Shae Wallin finished in fourth of 89 runners with a time of 20:44.

Amanda Mueller also had a top-ten finish for the women recording a time of 20:59. Marcus Breitbarth led the men's team with a time of 27:51 to finish 14th of 99 runners. Aron Stumvoll finished 21st (28:37), while Kyle Warren ran 29:12 (29th), Paul James ran 30:14 to finishe in a tie for 41st and Hassan Guyo ran 32:04 to finish in 68th.

On the women's side, Jennifer Carbone ran 23:45 and Jessica Johnson finished in 24:01.
