Sep. 02– The Concordia cross country team opened up their 2005 season at the Dragon Open in Moorhead. The women finished sixth of seven teams with 189 points, while the men did not post a team score.

Amanda Mueller ran a personal-best and CU course record 20:48.73 to finish in 15th. Shae Wallin ran 21:10.45 to finish 23rd and Jessica Johnson finished 49th in a time of 22:39.87. Rachel Johnson finished in a time of 22:56.01 (51st).

On the men’s side, Kyle Warren led the Bears in a time of 29:13.10 to finish 29th, while Paul James ran 29:38.74 (32nd). Renatto Otten finished 33rd (29:41.40) and Alan Stage ran 33:05.60 (58th).

The Bears will be in action again on Sept. 10 at the St. John’s Invite in Collegeville, MN.
