Sep. 19– Jacquelyn Hauser shot a 246 in three rounds to lead Concordia University on Saturday and Sunday at the Concordia University Invite at Brooks Golf Course in Okoboji, Iowa.
The team shot an 1100 and finished in 11th place. The Bears opened with a 358 in round one, shot a 381 in the second round, which was called early on Saturday due to weather conditions and resumed on Sunday morning. On Sunday afternoon, the Bears shot a 361.
Hauser was consistent, shooting an 82 in each of the three rounds and finished 28th out of 59 golfers in the tournament. Kelsey Walt shot a 86-96-92=274 and Carley Paulseth shot a 87-99-89=275 while Alicia Ulring finished the tournament with a score of 103-104-98=305.
Nebraska-Omaha won the tournament with a 935 while Winona State's Morgan Proshek earned medalist honors with a 223 despite trailing a pair of UNO golfers heading into the final round. Her 72 in the third round vaulted her ahead of Amanda Stock who finished second with a 228 and Lindsay Newton who finished fourth with a 231. Stock shot a 78 in round three to finish five strokes back while Newton shot an 81 and was eight strokes back.
