Nov. 21– Concordia cross country coach Jonathan Breitbarth has announced that Lauren Castillo, from Colfax, Wis., has signed a National Letter of Intent during the early signing period to run for the Bears in 2006.  She is the first cross country runner to sign early for Breitbarth.

Castillo, from Colfax High School is a two time conference champion in the 800 m run and six time all-conference performer in track and cross country.  She has twice been named team MVP in cross country and qualified once for the state track meet.

She is a member of the National Honor Society and has earned three scholar letters.  She also plays basketball.
