Dec. 22–  The Concordia University football team racked-up six more individual awards as Don Hansen's Football Gazette announced their All-Northwest Region Team. Junior defensive tackle Eric Power (Farmington, Minn.) and junior cornerback Antonio Brown (St. Paul, Minn.) were named to the all-region first team. CU also had two second team selections and two third team selections.
The second team selections were senior quarterback James McNear (Des Moines, Iowa) and senior offensive guard Ya'Tarrie Brown (Minneapolis, Minn.). The third team selections were junior runningback Aaron Cawthorn (Des Moines, Iowa), who made the team as an all-purpose back selection and senior offensive tackle CJ Sanderson (Lakeland, Fla.).
The six total selections for Concordia were second only to Winona State's eight total selections (six first team, two second team). Southwest Minnesota State had one second team selection to round out the NSIC's players to receive the individual honors.
