Apr. 15– Concordia junior Kyle Warren won the 800 meter run at the DII Challenge the Zola Witten Track in Emporia, Kansas on Saturday afternoon. Warren ran a school-record 1:53.10 to defeat a field of 43 runners in the event.
He was just a tenth (.10) off of provisionally qualifying for the NCAA meet. He also has the second-best time in the NSIC behind Ben Jansen of Wayne State, who finished second in Emporia and has the seventh-best time in the NCAA DII this spring.
He also earned ten points, which allowed Concordia to finish in 18th place at the event.
